Canadian Website Costs by Industry (2026 Real Numbers)

By JacobApr 8, 202611 min read

‘How much does a website cost?' is the wrong question. ‘How much does a website cost for my industry, at my stage?' is the right one. A solo therapist needs a different site at a different price than a Toronto personal injury law firm or a 4-location dental group.

Below: real Canadian website cost ranges in 2026 broken down by industry, what each price actually buys, and the integration line items specific to each category.

Healthcare: dentists, chiros, physios, vets, therapists

Healthcare websites in Canada need to handle PHIPA (Ontario), PIPEDA (federal), and HIPAA-equivalent privacy on intake forms and patient communication. They also need clear college registration display (CCO, CPSO, CDA, College of Physiotherapists, etc.) and direct billing information for major insurers. These add scope but not necessarily cost, they just need to be done correctly the first time.

Practice typeTypical Canadian site costCommon integrations
Solo therapist / counsellor$1,000–$2,500Jane App, Owl Practice, Stripe deposits
Single-location chiro / physio / RMT clinic$1,500–$4,000Jane App, ClinicSense, direct billing list
Single-location dental practice$2,500–$6,500Dentrix / ABELDent / Open Dental, NexHealth, intake forms
Multi-doctor specialist clinic (ortho, perio)$5,000–$15,000PMS integration, virtual consult, financing widgets
Veterinary clinic$2,500–$6,500Cornerstone / ezyVet / Vetstoria, Petdesk
Multi-location practice (any specialty)$8,000–$25,000+Multi-location architecture, per-location SEO

Trades and contractors: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, GC

Trade and contractor websites in Canada earn back faster than almost any other category because the leads are big-ticket and high-intent. A $2,500 site that captures 4 extra furnace replacement calls in its first month has paid for itself by month two.

WSIB compliance, COR certification mention, license number display, and warranty information all matter. Most trade businesses also need financing integration (Snap, Financeit, FortivaPay) on $5K+ services, a standard high-converting line item.

  • Single-truck operator: $1,000–$2,500 (3–5 page site, click-to-call, service area, basic SEO)
  • Small established trade company (5–15 trucks): $2,500–$6,500 (service-type pages, financing, GBP optimization)
  • Established multi-trade contractor: $5,000–$15,000 (city pages, dispatch integration, ServiceTitan / Jobber, financing widget)
  • Multi-location HVAC / plumbing chain: $15,000–$50,000+ (per-location pages, fleet of GBPs, content engine)

Hospitality: restaurants, cafes, bars, catering

Restaurant websites in Canada have collapsed in price relative to a decade ago because most ordering and reservations now happen on third-party platforms (OpenTable, Resy, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Skip). The website's job is photography, menu, and brand, not transactional. Online ordering can be added but most restaurants we work with route it to existing third-party apps.

Typical Canadian restaurant site cost: $1,500–$5,000 for a single location with strong photography, menu management, OpenTable / Resy integration, and local SEO. Multi-location chains run $5,000–$15,000 with per-location pages. Catering-focused operations need a stronger lead form and quote system, typically $2,500–$6,500.

Beauty: salons, spas, med spas, barbershops

Beauty industry sites in Canada are visually demanding and booking-integrated. Hair salons and barbershops live on Boulevard, Vagaro, GlossGenius, Square Appointments, or Mindbody, the booking widget needs to embed inline cleanly. Med spas add the additional layer of before/after galleries with proper consent and CPSO/CPSBC compliance language.

  • Solo stylist / barber / esthetician: $750–$2,000
  • Single-location salon / barbershop / nail bar: $1,500–$4,500
  • Med spa (single location): $3,500–$10,000
  • Multi-location chain: $8,000–$25,000+
  • Cosmetic surgery clinic: $10,000–$50,000+

Real estate, financial, and professional services

Real estate agent websites: $1,500–$5,000 for solo, $5,000–$25,000 for teams with IDX/RETS feed integration (TRREB, REBGV, etc.). Mortgage brokers: $1,500–$4,500 with rate widgets and application forms. Accountants and bookkeepers: $1,000–$4,500 with CRA-aware service descriptions and client portal integration. Insurance brokers: $2,000–$6,500 with quote engines.
