PDF menus are the single most common conversion-killer on restaurant websites. They take 3–8 seconds to load on mobile, force diners to pinch and zoom on tiny text, can't be updated without re-uploading, and are completely invisible to Google search. Every dish trapped in a PDF is a dish that will never appear in a search result for ‘best [dish] in [city]'.

An HTML menu solves all of this. Each dish becomes its own indexable element with name, description, photo, price, and dietary tags. Diners scroll naturally on mobile, search engines crawl every item, and you can update an 86'd dish in 5 seconds from your phone. Restaurants that switch from PDF to HTML menus typically see 40–60% more time on the menu page and a measurable lift in reservations and pickup orders.

For smaller restaurants we often recommend a custom reservation form with email/SMS confirmation that costs nothing per cover.

‘Restaurants near me', ‘best [cuisine] [neighborhood]', and ‘brunch [city]' are among the highest-volume local queries on the entire internet. Winning them requires three things working together: a fully optimized Google Business Profile, schema markup that tells Google your cuisine, price range, and menu items, and locally relevant content that earns links and engagement.

Google Business Profile is the single biggest lever. Most restaurants set it up once and forget it. We treat it as an active marketing channel — weekly photo uploads, posts about specials and events, replies to every review, accurate hours including holidays, and an answered Q&A. Restaurants with active GBPs get 5–7× more profile actions than dormant ones.

We also build per-cuisine and per-meal landing pages where it makes sense. A restaurant serving brunch, lunch, and dinner can rank separately for ‘best brunch [neighborhood]', ‘lunch spots [neighborhood]', and ‘dinner [cuisine] [city]' — three times the search surface area for the same restaurant.
