Calgary · HVAC, heating & cooling

Calgary HVAC websites built for Alberta Safety Codes, CEIP, and -30°C reality.

We audited 9 of the top-ranking Calgary HVAC company websites. Zero mention Alberta Safety Codes Act accreditation. Zero mention Class B gas fitter certification. Only one references the Chinook / cold-snap reality that defines HVAC selection in this city. We build the inverse: credentials surfaced, CEIP and Greener Homes Loan wired into a calculator, and cold-climate heat pump content that actually addresses -30°C performance.

What our local pack audit found.

0 / 9
Mention Alberta Safety Codes / AMSA

Universal blind spot. Required permit authority for all furnace and gas work in Alberta.

0 / 9
Mention Class B gas fitter

Required to legally service gas-fired equipment in Alberta.

1 / 9
Address the Chinook / -30°C reality

Calgary's defining HVAC condition, almost universally ignored.

4 / 9
Surface rebate programs

Most cite generic "rebates available" without naming CEIP, Greener Homes Loan, or Enmax.

Methodology and per-site detail in our Calgary HVAC Local Pack Audit (2026).

What we put on every Calgary HVAC site.

Safety Codes Act accreditation

Permit-issuer accreditation status, City of Calgary permit history, and Alberta Municipal Affairs registry findability, surfaced, not buried.

Class B gas fitter & 313A refrigerant cert

Named per technician on the team page. The two credentials that legally separate a furnace installer from someone with a truck.

CEIP & Greener Homes Loan calculator

Calgary CEIP, Canada Greener Homes Loan, and any active Enmax conservation rebate wired into a single calculator on the heat-pump page.

Chinook-aware cold-climate content

CCASHP performance at -30°C, dual-fuel hybrid sizing, freeze-thaw cycle stress on furnaces, and humidity logic for ridge homes vs. inner-city walk-ups.

Maintenance plan as a primary page

Service calendar, included items, response time SLA, and clear pricing. The strongest LTV mechanic in residential HVAC.

Click-to-call & dispatch

Mobile-first phone CTA. Service-area schema for SW/NW/SE/NE quadrants. Webhook into ServiceTitan, Jobber, or Housecall Pro.

CEIP is the Calgary-specific lever your competitors don't explain.

Calgary's Clean Energy Improvement Program is PACE-style financing, the loan is repaid through the property tax bill, not the homeowner's personal credit, and it transfers with the home on sale. For a $14,000 cold-climate heat pump install, this changes the conversation entirely. Yet 5 of 9 Calgary HVAC sites don't mention it, and the ones that do treat it as a footnote.

We build a CEIP-aware quote flow: the calculator outputs the installed cost, the CEIP-financed monthly charge, the Greener Homes Loan stack, and the net out-of-pocket. The page also explains the eligibility (owner-occupied, City of Calgary, qualifying equipment list) so the homeowner doesn't have to leave the site to determine whether they qualify.

Heat pumps work in Calgary, but the page has to prove it.

Calgary homeowners researching heat pumps almost universally ask the same question: "do they actually work at -30°C?" The honest answer is yes (modern cold-climate ASHPs maintain rated capacity to about -25°C and continue to function with reduced capacity below that, at which point the dual-fuel hybrid switches to gas). But almost no Calgary HVAC site explains this clearly with real performance data.

We build the page that does, with cold-climate ASHP performance curves, the dual-fuel changeover logic, the Chinook freeze-thaw effect on outdoor units, and the actual buyer experience after the first January cold snap. This is the page that wins the comparison searches and the spousal cross-shopping that decides the deal.

Pricing

Engagement-based. Most Calgary HVAC builds land between $4k and $10k depending on rebate-calculator depth, CRM/dispatch integration, and number of quadrant service-area pages.

FAQ

Safety Codes Act accreditation is shown in the footer with the City of Calgary permit issuer reference. Class A or B gas fitter and 313A refrigerant credentials are listed on the team page. Most Calgary HVAC sites skip this entirely, none of the 9 sites we audited mention any of it. It's the easiest credibility win in the category.
